Make your own Inverter

Looking for a cheap Inverter for your Home?
Why not you make one?? Its simple to make an inverter.. You can make your own simple inverter of 600W which can provide uniterrupted power supply for 3 Ceiling fans and 3 Tube lights approx upto 6hrs.. Amazing right?? You can make one by just following the instructions below..

Requirements:
1.UPS(using 12V battery)
2.Thick Copper wires.
3.Insulation tapes
4.Battery (12V 150Ah)

General Information:
First to make an inverter circuit u need to know what the actual process going in inverter. The AC power source of 220V is converted into 12V by transformer and it is converted to DC and then stored in battery. The output(fan, light, etc) is connected to battery via a converter which converts the 12V DC supply to 220V AC supply.
So even if the source of the power is gone off the battery still supplies the power required..

Method:
Its tough for you to build your own circuits for inverter, hence forget about the circuits and lets go for the basic methodology. Get the UPS which u generally use for your computer and make sure its 600 VA (360 W) and it runs with 12V battery. The price of new UPS starts from INR1500. While the used one starts from INR500 itself it depends on you which you prefer to get.  Then carefully remove the case where it shows the location of battery. Basically it will be the bottom cover. You can find the small battery enough to power ur Computer inside it, now remove it from the UPS. Extend the both positive and negative wire outside and dont frgt to insulate the joints and make hole if necessary in the casing to bring the wire out. Make sure u choose little thick copper wires. Now connect the other end of the positive and negative terminal correctly to the 12V battery (150Ah) we bought. Generally the price of this battery starts frm INR5500. Insulate it properly and connect the input of the UPS to the power supply and connect the output either by direct connection through wire or use the plug point provide at back of UPS. Connect the fan and lights through this individual supply. Provide coolers if u can for efficient working of UPS as it may subject to heat loss.
Great that you are done with your own Inverter. Which can provide you uniterrupted power supply. Generally this inverters cost you around price INR15000 in market. But you made it just by INR8000.

Note: Separate wiring should be given from the output of the inverter. For replacing wiring for your building if you are not thorough in it better get help from your electrician. Dont take risks as he gona only charge you not more than INR1000. Safety is Important.

Thank you suggestions are welcomed..

Boost Internet speed by changing your DNS

Fed up by the speed of your internet speed provided by your network?

By changing the default DNS servers you can boost up your Internet speed. Because DNS servers are the most trusted component of your web browsing experience but few people understand how they work or how their security vulnerabilities can cause you problems. I recommend that you read both What DNS Servers Do and How to Change DNS Server before you change the DNS servers your system relies upon. This is just a one time setting and make sure that the following DNS servers works with your network provider.

How to change the DNS?

This method tells your computer which DNS to use for all your internet browsing. Most home users have this set to "automatic" and the DNS is provided by the user's ISP, but you can use any DNS you like (you can even make your own DNS if you're keen).
Before you start you will need to know the IP address of the DNS to use - if you don't know this you'll need to ask your system administrator or ISP.
To set your DNS, you need to find the Internet Protocol window.
For Users on a Dial-up Connection:
Go to My Computer>Dialup Networking.
Right-click your internet connection and select Properties.
A window will open - click the Server Types tab. Click TCP/IP Settings.

For Windows 7 Users:

Go to Control Panel>Network and Sharing Center (Large Icons View)
Click>Local area connection>Properties.
Select>Internet protocol version 4>Properties.
Select use the following DNS server address

For All Other Users:

Go to Control Panel>Network Connections and select your local network.
Click Properties, then select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
Click Properties.

Free Top 10 Best DNS Servers (Best Suitable for Indian Users):

I analysed around 150 DNS servers and found the below DNS servers rank top 10 in their speed in Benchmarks. Wish you guys a Good Luck.

(a)   8.8.8.8
(b)   8.8.4.4
(c)   218.248.255.145
(d)   218.248.255.139
(e)   114.130.11.66
(f)    203.115.81.38
(g)   203.193.139.150
(h)   202.138.96.2
(i)    203.90.66.79
(j)    202.56.230.6

It asks for 2 DNS server since even if one failed it will go for the next one.
Enter any two DNS Servers mentioned above.
Just click ok and restart your web browser.

You can now experience a faster browsing experience than before ;)
